I think we could learn a lot from the first against the last, John L. Sullivan vs. Wladimir Klitschko.

    Morales-Hamed
    Ali-Lewis
    Leonard-Hagler (1982)
    Leonard-Pryor
    Chavez-Whitaker (1987 at LW)
    Whitaker-FMJ

    Results -

    Morales by UD...
    Ali by UD...
    Leonard by UD...
    Leonard by TKO...
Not sure between JCC & Pea but it would be super close & prove that their actual fight happened the way it did due to JCC being more past prime than Pea being outright better...
Whitaker by SD... in a fight that shows there aint as much as people on classic ESB thinks there is between them.

    :good

Leonard wouldn't beat Hagler then. Not IMO. And I think the Pea of 135 deals with Chavez in similar fashion in terms of obvious superiority, but both men have to work even harder to provide a glorious contest. Still, Pea 116-112 or something like that.

One I'd love to witness for the sheer enjoyment would be Hearns vs Gavilan. WTF would happen?!?

Wouldnt happen, Chavez beats him anywhere from 130-140 & by stoppage in a 15 rder, probably even a 12 rder too.

Would be a war while it lasted mind. I'm not certain Chavez dismantles him as easy as you say Bill, but at the same time find it hard to envision Pac winning. However, I think with his speed and power, he will push even Chavezs chin to the limit. But I see Chavez landing damaging blows of his own through Pacmans flurries.....PAC has awesome stamina and fast in and out movement, with a quality tactician in the corner....I'm telling ya knowthis is a closer fight then you've envisioned, but I see Chavez busting him up late and stopping him.

People forget what weird movements Manny made when rocked by Marquez at 130. Whilst durable I don't believe him to be totally infallible, and not based on his lower weight stoppages either....I just believe Chavez to be the superior fighter, no matter how aesthetically astounding Pac can be...to be fair Chavez appears sheer class to the eye too.....

Anyway, I'm proper stoned, as the above mess would've told you anyway. But yeah, good fight is Pac vs Chavez. With a proper keyboard I'd like to go through a proper punch for punch breakdown, but alas I am on my iPhone
