Lets just say he does what Adam Booth claims he will do, fight two more fights. One before summer, the other after summer as Booth said yesterday in the Sky interview. If he fought and beat both Wlad and Vitali in these two fights then retired how would you rank him/think of him then (ATG wise, if at all), bare in mind he will have practically unified at two weights in 28 fights. This isnt a 'Haye doesnt have the bottle, hes a ***** blah blah blah' thread, we already have enough of them...what if he did do this in his next two fights and retired before the age of 31 as he claims he will do.
I actually want the klits to beat haye, haye is in it for the money so its no good to have him beat and therefore expose the klits, its more usefull to have either klit destroy him and put a decent name to their scalp. But who will haye fight next? I think chagaev for sure, after that maybe one klit then retirement. but valuev 2 as a rematch would not surprise me anyway.
If there are only two more fights, most people would pick both Klits. I think it's a shame as I'd prefer to see Haye v Adamek over Adamek v Klits, but you know Adamek will fight the Klits first....and I fear he is too small and will get KO'd. Anyway, Chagaev is Haye's mandatory challenger, and this is a very interesting to see Haye in with a livelier fighter. Chagaev already beat Valuev three years ago, and Ruiz four.
I blatantly qoute what I wrote in another simulair thread, about Haye's options... The fact Rahman is suddenly in that list is reason for concern. We all know Harrison also popped up out of nowhere when the speculations about that fight began. But I really think Haye has nowhere left to go... He has to fight a mandatory, and after saturday's farce I think even the corrupt WBA will force Haye to obey the rules in this case. They probably let him get away with the Hep B angle not to fight dangerous (and by far better than any opponent Haye faced) Chagaev. But then what? Next in line is a Valuev rematch, but out of the question due to injury and Niko isn't a fool also. #3 on the list.. BOYTSOV, imo the crownprince of the HW division. Didn't fight very tough opposition yet, but really looks to have the goods and a big punch. Very dangerous opponent, and I don't think haye wants to ruin his big payday by a guy not many casual fans know about.
well, as usual, the ESB posters compltely fail to read the topic and just see one name and reply with the usual copy and paste schtick. Personally, i would rate Haye very highly if he got in the ring and beat both Klits comprehensively. He wouldn't neccesarily be a great heavyweight, but as a two weight champion, unifying in both divisions, then he would rank highly.
Well I must admit you're right about this... I only really read the first sentence and then a few reactions. So here's my answer. If Haye fights and beats both Klits in his next 2 fights I really, really, really have to admit I was way and way off about him and give him the credit he's due and have to rank him an ATG if I want to or not!
if haye does what you said in your post he has every right to be in the ATG bracket..... he has allready unified CW, and people are going on about the klits being ATG's. so if haye does beat the klits he will be an all time great imho.
LOL - My thoughts exactly, the ******s who posted before this must just start typing as soon as they see haye and fail to read the rest.
The fact you mention "ATG" proves you're deluded He will be remembered as a good fighter, a decent world champion. Thats it
He can hardly be labelled as an ATG, even if he does beat Wladimir and a past-prime Vitali. Having a total of only 27 fights - the majority of them in a weak cruiserweight division - isn't something that impresses me. For him to retiring at the young age of 31, means he's leaving the sport unfinished.
Well he'll add to HOFs to his resume. Two weight divisions unified. He'll be a first ballot HOF. Too bad he is getting KTFO
that glass jawed joke David Haye is easily the worst hypejob in boxing history i´d need a ton of lsd in the first place to get myself even close to the point where i could imagine that this guy has the slightest chance not to get totally owned from pillow to post against Wlad. In the worst case Wlad will have to clinch him all the time until Manny orders him to put Haye to sleep to prevent that tomato from falling over once the first jab landed. Fraudley´s performance is gonna look good compared to the demolition job Wlad will perform on Haye such a mismatch this will be.
