This is a match that I've always wished was possible. So, what would you predict if they matched up in weight?

It might not be a barn burner but the defense and strategic elements I think would elevate this match to being a classic.

Toney too busy. A close but clear UD.

As Toney said when approached on the subject "Bring it on. I'll launch that snaggle-toothed motherf***er into space"

Depends on how busy Toney is, it's his fight to win or lose.

Toney wins by being more active. Damn shame the fight never came off. Both guys are natural light heavyweights but Hopkins could keep his weight low enough to be the champ at 160 and Toney juiced and ate himself up to 220 and fought heavyweights.

At least we got to see both match up against Roy Jones Jr.

Toney more talented, Hopkins smarter and better mentally.

Could squeak by Toney and out hustle him.

Seriously! These are the matches fight fans dream up, but the general public doesn't seem to grasp.

It would be interesting to see if Hopkins would utilize some of his early years roughhouse tactics to even the fight where Toney may have more skill in certain areas.

Toney in his pump, Is the don. Very Ultra talented, id have him winning. Hopkins would probably beat him in the rematches as toney fades.

If Hopkins wanted to he could fight Toney at cruiserweight. He's the one who ducked Toney not the other way around.

They both are old and past prime. It would still be an interesting fight even today and far more competitive than Jones Hopkins 2.
