I deeply miss those cards full of heavyweight prospects... ...like this one - https://boxrec.com/en/event/7016 ...or this one - https://boxrec.com/en/event/324285 Those HW cards produced some very good fights, brutal knockouts and shocking upsets. I would really like to see something like this again back on TV, especially with all those crazy money involved in boxing lately with DAZN and ESPN+ My fantasy HW card would look like this: Filip Hrgovic vs Tony Yoka - unfinished business after Olympics Joe Joyce vs Daniel Dubois - potentially great fight stylisticaly that would attract tons of British boxing fans Efe Ajagba vs Agit Kabayel - will Ajagba's size and power prevail over Kabayel's experience? Martin Bakole vs Arslanbek Makhmudov - a brutal war (probably Foreman vs Lyle style) would be guaranteed Vladyslav Sirenko vs Evgeny Romanov - another potential war between two big punchers (plus Ukraine vs Russia factor to attract boxing fans from those countries) Zhan Kossobutskiy vs Petar Milas - after dispatching a big puncher in less than a rounds lets see if Zhan can stop a good boxer Ivan Dychko vs Guido Vianello - a fight for a boxing purists between two good but not very exciting stylistically prospects
Why? Ajagba and Bakole are Africans, Joyce and Dubois are Brits. As for lack of US fighters - Hunter is fighting in WBA eliminator, he is over that level, Franklin is garbage, Jarred Anderson looks very promising, but you can't put 19 y.o. 1-0 fighter in such tournament unless it's against some bum
