As much as its good to have a bit of rivalry,and ithink vboth laddies would taske the fight at the drop of the hat ...it would be better to have a worthwhile fight like this maybe a year/18 month down the line for it to be worthwhile !

Since when did you become Johns manager mate? no you listen Paul will call me if and when John fancies the job ok .I've been looking everywhere to see when John won the Scottish title as an amatuer cant find it at all ,what years did he win them nobody seems to know? PS John done an exhibition with David Brophy many years ago he's never fought him even though John claims he has!

John did win the Scottish Junior title back in 2006 I think, beat a boy Stewart Reid I think from aberdeen for the 69kg title. This was when John boxed for the barn.

I remember the exhibition between them up in east kilbride, think John was a year or two older and both boys were going pretty light on each other.

 

Another interesting match could be mccallum/brophy VS Steven Banks who has recently just won his debut under Gilmour. Banks is last seasons Scottish finalist at middleweight and a very classy southpaw who I reckon will go on to do something in the pro ranks.

 

What about all the other scottish hes claimed to have won? Doesnt matter anyway i spoke to paul today and we agreed to let them have a few more fights then they can get it on,with regards to a £5k bet i would take that bet in a heartbeat.David will KO John with ease hes simply not at David level.From what ive seen of john live and in the gym i make my judgement.For john to say hes at degale and grooves level is so so wrong!

There was an article on john on the BBC website with him claiming alot of amateur achievements that I am completely unaware of. I'm guessing it was just him or his coach trying to hype up his name before joining the pro ranks.
