I know and that's why people do it. A pretty sad thing to do though in my opinion, bad mouthing well known people over the internet to try and get a reaction from them.
Bunce in 'mistake' shocker!!! So many arseholes on here, act like they've never said anything that was wrong. Sound like a bunch of ****ing tarts.
Yeah i agree. Buncey may as well not bother on here, he snapped at me a few months back over something minor. I think he's getting fed up with it.
You do realise that Bunce's livelihood and professional 'stock' is dependent on his popularity among boxing fans. He 'bothers' because by coming on here he gets more people listening to his radio show, downloading his podcasts, and higher demand for his tv shows. He's advertising himself in the same way as the banner at the top of this page, except he's part of the content itself. He doesn't use this forum like a regular user does. Neither do any of the professionals that come on here (apart from arguably Tony Bellew). From the ground up, boxing is a business built on popularity - how many tickets do you sell? How many PPV's do people buy to watch you? How many people listen to your show? Coming on here, boxrec and wherever else makes "cash-common sense" as bunce said himself. That's nothing to be ashamed of in my opinion. We all do (or should if we are ambitious) things to further and improve our career. The problem is that Bunce's USP is 'telling it like it is' and being a 'fan like you or me'. That is the angle that won his popularity, and unfortunately, that is the angle which people will hang him for now - since signing on to be ******'s mouthpiece is the complete opposite to that. People are disappointed, and feel cheated by a perceived false persona they believed in. But as a career move, he had to make that decision. Can anyone see the parallels with David Haye? Best way forward from here IMO, is that Bunce grows a thick skin and accepts to himself that he can no longer market himself in the same way. No need for people to keep sticking the boot in though. And no need for people to worship him or feel honoured to have him on this forum - you may notice he adds very little value to it apart from publicising his shows anyway. Good luck to Bunce. He cashed in his popularity chips for the Boxnation gig. Deal with it.
Get of Bunceys back.... Lets all come round where you work, see how you do your job, then go to your boss and tell him your shite at it. Dont rise to it Steve!
If Steve Bunce's opinions annoy you that much, try not listening to or watching his shows and maybe don't follow him on twitter. Just a thought.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHmvkRoEowc[/ame] Buncey is in the public eye. He hosts a channel which many of us pay for. He's not free from criticism, just like a boxer's not free from criticism, either.
