If Floyd potshots emmanuel and makes him look silly, that's enough to humiliate emmanuel. Remember this is the same guy the boxing hicks known as the general media are hyping up to be as great as Muhammad Ali. There's high expectactions and standards set for emmanuel due to all the hype he's getting.:rofl:rofl:rofl
If i was to throw any boxing thought aside and go by gut feeling I think floyd will stop him or else a spectacular early pac KO...but again thats a gut feeling Cotto was bossing pac until he got too confident and started to avoid his fundamentals and trade more with pac and eventually lost confidence in his jab.... the rest is history Floyd fights his fight he is too intelligent to get dragged into a dog fight, But floyd being floyd I can see him turning on a serious offensive display absolutely no1 would see that coming and I doubt that is what roach would have pacquiao training for.
Cotto was bossing Pac until he started avoiding his fundamentals? really? Pac beat the crap out of Cotto in the 2nd round. Decked him in the 3rd and 4th rounds. It didn't take long for Cotto to start avoiding his fundamentals. Maybe Pac was a factor in that? Pac is way underrated on this forum
I actually think pac is a brilliant fighter but it has turned into a bit of a gravy train afterall in the past year or two neither him nor floyd have had decent opposition as 140-154 doesnt exactly have an embarassement of riches
I dont disagree that pac is under rated sure he beat the living **** out of cotto no1 is disputing that, trying to show how cotto abandoned his jab and allowed pac to get too close which wouldnt happen with floyd unless he wanted to fight close or get on the inside and tie him up
I cant see him doing that, he had Marquez on his last legs, begging to be taken out, he comprehensively outboxed Baldy, but would not press his advantage, he hit Gatti at will, be would not give up his range, stand in the pocket and set his feet to try and really hurt Gatti, he wanted to move in and out. Whilst Mayweather might not of stopped Mosley, he had an opportunity to put a lot more leather on him than he did imo, but he did'nt, he's just not that type fighter imo.
Cotto abandoned his jab because Pac was timing it with counters repeatedly early in the fight. It's not a question of Cotto "letting him do it" it's Pac being that good that he just did it. Like I said, Pac is way underrated. He does things that people don't even notice. He is alot more than a brawler and like I've said before has unparalleled timing, and that includes Floyd. It's easy to say "Cotto allowed Pac to get close" but really from the 2nd round on Pac was beating Cotto whether close or far.
I watched Hatton since he was on friday fight nights on sky sports fighting the likes of Eamon Magee but After Floyd he was done, Malignaggi is like homer trying to kill that fly when he is working the heavy bag! sure Luzcano had Hatton going too. I waited until 4:30am to see pac steamroll through him I did like the latter half of his cotto fight tho when he started beating up on cotto was a thing of art!
its unheard of in the past few years for floyd to be pressing his advantage, But if he did it vs pac- not necessarily trading but educated pressure and stoppin people with a lesser danger of being caught with a wonder punch. I doubt it happening but again I wouldnt be suprised if he did it he has that kind of personality, I couldnt believe it when he walked down shane
emmanuel's need to get approval and love from people will **** him up the AZZ against Floyd. He clearly explains in his book how he developed his style and habits to "entertain" people. Floyd's most recent opponent Mosley said what separates Floyd from everyone else he's fought is that Floyd doesn't give a ****. He's self-assured, smug, and mentally strong enough to do what he wants regardless of what the crowd is AZZking for.
Floyd didn't have Marquez on his last legs at all. Marquez looked pretty much the same in round 12 as he did in round 1. Floyd said in a post-fight interview on ESPN that he wanted to take Marquez out but just couldn't Surely you're confusing Floyd v Marquez with another fight.
idk guys, honestly, at the end of this day, people can call Pacquiao a steriod abuser, and Mayweather a woman beater, but i just want the two greatest fighters on this planet to get in the ring and fight eachother :thumbsup
I think it was the 10th or 11th round where Floyd went after Marquez. He laid it off in the 12th realizing it would take too much effort to KO Marquez.
i am sure majority of pac fans think highly of voids skills inside the ring. its just that void seemed to have lost his balls and have been acting like a ***** the past few years.
