yea i think it was round 10 Floyd tried to go for a KO but quickly realized he couldn't. Let's face it, it simply wasn't in his toolbox.

I mean Floyd is great and that victory over Marquez was impressive, but he's not good enough to knock JMM out and Marquez deserves his share of credit for that as well.

Ya, FLoyd's strategy for the fight didn't leave him enough time to build up the necessary accumulation and damage for a KO within 3 rounds

From what I recall, he was ready to be taken, Mayweather just did'nt make enough of a concerted effort. If Mayweather would have tried to take him out, he would gone flat footed, not kept attacking mid range, then stepping back out to guard against potential counters, he would of stayed in there, set his feet, and look to keep sustained pressure on Marquez, he refused to do that.

what you said there is a far cry from "he had Marquez on his last legs, begging to be taken out" which you said earlier and is just plain false..

Rewatch the last 2 rounds, they aren't that different from any of the other rounds.

Floyd felt him out for a a few rounds and then got the KD he cranked up the output a bit but didnt seem content on chasing the KO sure he said after the fight it was a tune up to get rounds under his belt

Floyd said in an interview after the fight that he was pressing for the knockout but that Marquez was too good.

I wonder how someone with good countering skills like Marquez would have responded if Floyd went aggressive to try for the KO:think

Its not, its just I can only recall what I can recall, and if you refute it, I can only say, that is what it looked like to me when I recall the action, I have'nt changed my perception of what I originally felt, and my memory is recalling a scenario where Marquez was! begging him to take him out.

From what I remember!, Marquez legs did'nt look fully underneath him in the latter part of that fight.

well hey, if that's what you recall, or if that's what your perception was, then I can only assume that you recall Floyd performing a whole lot better than he actually did in many of his fights. In which case it totally explains your thoughts on the outcome of Pac vs Floyd.

Mayweather's timing and accuracy is much more impressive than Pacquiao's.

Mayweather is more apt to hit you with a shot you dont see coming, he's that quick......

.......back to Pacquiao's duck of Marquez, I'm certain Freddie Roach and Pacquiao looked at that on videotape, saw that the much bigger Mayweather could'nt get Marquez out of there (and he had opportunity) and decided it was'nt the right time to face Marquez again.

......all the work Pacquiao has put forth since his loss to Marquez, and it all goes down the drain again with another boxing lesson propinated to him by the master.:yep

......I dont even have to mention what a bigger version of the master (Mayweather) would do to the undersized Pacquiao.
(He is bigger than me, if I was bigger than him, blood testing would benefit me.)-Pacroid:deal

That is what I can recall!, if my memory is giving me a distorted view, then maybe I am getting it wrong, but im willing to concede to a degree as its not as fresh in my memory.
