What is the benchmark for you to say "IB, you're correct, HW is the worst & sucks donkey balls"?

Joshua deserves a spot on the top 10 more than Spence does.

Usyk deserves his place in the top 5. If a Cruiser can rank as a p4p'er , why can't a HW?

Oh yeah i hadnt considered Uysk. No argument he is in there. It did sound like it but i wasnt implying a Heavyweight cant be in the P4P rankings i meant i dont consider any current fighters from the division good enough, You know im a big Joshua fan but in my opinion he is not quite breaking the top 10. But thats just my opinion and i even accept i may be in the minority on that one.

What is there not to get? You said heavyweights can't be compared because bigger guys don't move as well, when there are heavyweights that can move well. There are also more components to skill than just flashy movement.

When I was a young fella and the HW division was superb, both the number one and number two ( Ali and Frazier) were both. beaten within a few months of each other.

    Just sayin'

Yeah but neither of those guys that beat them were quite as scrubby as Breazeale/Schwarz (and to a lesser extent Ruiz), were they?

I don't think anyone believed that George Foreman nor Kenny Norton were bums prior to scoring those victories. If the p4p concept had been prevalent enough then for every fan & boxing journo to have & maintain a list, sure, neither Big George nor Kenny would have necessarily been in anyone's top 15...but at the same time nobody would have said of either "this guy isn't top 100" - a criticism you can very easily level at Schwarz for certain, and probably also Breazeale (maybe Ruiz, maybe not).

Can I admit it’s trash while also saying that it’s like a bad car wreck that you can’t take your eyes off of. Many heavyweight fights are amongst the worst, but bad heavyweight fights sometimes end up having great entertainment value because of how big of **** shows they can end up being.

    @IntentionalButt

I know your stylistic preference is biased towards a classical boxer puncher. One who is more thoughtful and deliberate. Rather than wild, abrasive, aggressive and powerful.

That's fine. When it comes to aesthetics, there is nothing wrong with having a preference for entertainment.

What I dont agree with is you allow your stylistic preference to cloud your perception of a fighters prowess as a fighter. What matters when rating a fighter is effectiveness. I can name dozens of Welterweights more classically trained than Shawn Porter. Yet I can name less than 5 Welterweights who are better than him H2H.

Even a wild-swinging clown like Shawn Porter is arguably more effective h2h relative to his weight division than any currently active heavyweight.

List of fighters, who fight or fought the big 3 recently:
Shpilka, Dupua, Molina, Shwartz, Sefery Stevern, Washington, Breazeale etc would be humiliated by Wlad's leftovers like Ibragimov, Chagaev, Peter, Povetkin, Byrd, Brewster, Thompson or Haye.
Wlad's leftovers would either blow them away in 1 round or just outbox easily in case of Chris Byrd.

I wasn't particularly fond of the Wladimir Klitshcko era of heavyweights either but it was vastly superior to what the current landscape boasts, as far as depth past the four or five highest rated guys. The drop-off in quality now is HUGE (and the quality at even the very top isn't exactly comparable in p4p terms with that in virtually every other division to begin with)

Will that list was easier to compile than it should of been due to Wilder's fondness to scrape the bottom of the barrel and Fury's joke opponents for his comeback trail. We're not seeing guys like Leapai get shots via their rankings is my point.

Leapai would probably be one of the best guys on Wilders resume. At least he beat a top 20 fighter in Boytstov.

That says more about Wilder and his opponents than it does the division though. I have Leapai at around the same level as Lucas Browne and that's not very high a level at all.
