What is the benchmark for you to say "IB, you're correct, HW is the worst & sucks donkey balls"?

  2. 2 members of the "Big Three" losing.

    35.5%
  3. All members of the "Big Three" losing.

  4. All members of the "Big Three" losing and somebody w/ a dozen losses and/or 45+ y.o. wins a belt.

  5. All of the above could happen and I'd still believe HW is supreme.

Depends on which. Schwarz very slim but I'd be thrilled. Wilder getting sparked deserves to be an underdog prop but is hardly out of the question.

    Ruiz somewhere in the middle.

Yeah even light heavy would require some intense buckling down on my part. :sisi1

I assume LHW then? Same answer for me. Normal human size fighters who are small enough to have similar technical ability to the small guys, but big enough that it'd be intimidating as **** to fight one IRL. Imagine stumbling up on Beterbiev in a dark alley.

160-175 is where I think we see the best overall balance of quality in boxing, presently and historically. Plenty of single-shot lights-out KO power just like you see at cruiser/heavy, but still plenty of agile footwork and chess matches between different styles played out across every square on the board like in the lighter weights.

Personally, I consider each of those match ups somewhat of an easy win for the usual suspects. I'll say this though....I hope atleast one of them turns out to be an upset...the division needs it imo. Too much posturing and jockeying for position in it. But then again, it's not the only weight class that suffers from it.

It’s middle weight for me, or certainly one of the original weight classes, but I’d go with middle weight. The money involved in the sport now is making the biggest fights less appealing for the fighters imo, look at the money fury is making against Schwartz, is it worth him pushing himself fighting the belt holders? Legacy is becoming less important than it once was or should be, back in the day only the top match ups generated the top money. I only used fury as an example there’s no other reason

the best overall fighters in the world will fall between welter and middle, because thats where most of us naturally fall, so theres a much bigger pool from which to naturally select from. its where the point of diminishing returns sits for size, strength and agility.

I'd say between welter and SMW/LHW, for the average population, yeah.

There might be a category added to the poll that says "None of the above happens and the HW division still reigns supreme!"

Personally I want a "None of the above happens and I still think the HW division is ****!".

But since that would defeat the purpose of the thread, its aimed at true believers, I can't vote regardless. I feel left out and discriminated against.:ohno

Depends on how agile you are talking about. I've never seen a LHW or SMW move with the grace or agility of Lomachenko. And Loma isnt even known as a uniquely fast fighter.

Never seen single LHW or SMW have feet anywhere near as fast as Pacquiao did at Featherweight. He was in, threw lightning fast combos from weird angles and then out and gone before you could even blink. And Pacquiao wasn't even known as an all time quick lower weight fighter either.

Different body weights have different performance parameters to fall under. I think you are underestimating how much work and difficulty it takes to reach the highest level of HW boxing.
