    Sorry that he died but he was fighting kids in olympics.

    You know better than that SuzieQ...really...but R.I.P. just the same...for me he stands out with that delayed reaction one punch ko of John Tate.

    He was second best amateur, a Russian guy beat him twice in his prime amateur years. Sorry to see he died. I think he may have regretted his all out support of Cuban policy of not letting fighters turn pro. Don't know if he would have been champ, but he would have made things interesting.

    I understand what you mean, he stayed amateur so long he was man with so much experience agisnt younger guys with less experience. Like if Klitschko was going for 3rd Olympic Gold medal. While I agree on that, he was still great, and maybe thread on his death is not place to argue it.
