More like ''Gotta focus more on roadwork'' Eddie Chambers. Today once again proved that the desire that the boxers from the ''hood'' have, will only get you so far, skill beats will. The only thing fast about Eddie was his jab WHEN he friggin realized he should throw it a couple of times in the fight. He clocked Povetkin nicely with the jab but then it faded away. Also, why the hell does Buddy McGirt always hang around the losers??? Chambers's trainer ( whoever he is ) needs to drop that speech like he is talking to a little cute baby and tell Chambers TO START ****ING FIGHTING!!! Nothing realy bad to say about Povetkin, only thing is that he started ta realy let his guard down in the final 3-2 rounds, luckily that ****wit Eddie didn't think it would be a good time to jab then.
there was actually little difference in the handspeed as i thought and povetkin had the quicker feet. not hard chambers has cement laden feet. chambers will never ever beat a jab and move heavy
The 'Fast' has always refered to his hand speed, not his footspeed too...although comparisons have been made to Chris Byrd, movement-wise Eddie has never been the same type of fighter. However, quick handspeed doesn't mean much when you can't throw a lot...Povetkin outworked him clearly.
He isn`t called "workrate" Eddie, he isn`t called "I`m a well conditioned HW" Eddie, he`s called fast, because he is in fact fast.
what chambers supporters should be upset about is that povetkin was tired but was still letting his hands go all the time. chambers looked fresh as a daisy and yet just covered up time and time again absolutley no urgency in his work with such a big prize on offer , for me that was hugley dissapointing. he desperatly needs a rocket up his arse
His hands are extremely fast, but thats really the only thing he got going for him as a whole, he fought alot better against Guinn. That being said, the only thing that impressed me about Povetkin was his workrate, Chambers looked like he had more snap in his punches, if that holds true, Wlad is going to tear Povetkin a new ******* in short fashion, you got to have some kind of power to back Wlad up, Povetkin proved in this fight he doesnt.
BTW, do you know if the Wlad - Povetking fight will also be in Germany or will they go over to the U.S.A?
Chambers hands are fast, but his punches is no power enought to do real damage and also, I think his like 100m runner he must save his energy, so he cant punch enought to win fights against real top fighters.
