It's been mentioned. Haye fans claim he would knock Chambers out (several rounds faster than Klitschko did it).
That dude needs to start chopping wood ASAP!!! He got speed, technically very sound and pretty good chin, BUT NO POWER to bring fear of God onto opponent every now and then!!! Heck, even Klit was so brave with him in the last few rounds, (that's why he got KTFO by left hook, for ****s sake when you've ever seen Klit left-hookin'!!!) He needs to pop harder or go down to Cruiserweight's and wreck a havoc there!!! He'll be unstoppable under 200lbs!!!
Looking at video of him against Dimitrenko, Chambers could probably shed an additional 10 pounds. It might mean marginally less power but that shouldn't be an issue if he was fighting below 200 lbs. I don't give Rossy big chances against Chambers unless he's improved dramatically.
You laugh because you're a fool. Please tell me what boxing ability you saw in Chambers when he stood RIGHT in front of Klitschko, stationary, upright, squared up, with ABSOLUTELY NO LATERAL MOVEMENT and WASTED HEAD MOVEMENT. Please, tell me what the **** makes him a good boxer. Do yu think you were watching Jersey Joe Walcott? What ****in idiot stands right in front of the hardest hitting heavyweight that also has a superior reach and size advantage? That's not a good boxer. Sorry. Haye would destroy this pretender. In fact, Chambers would have been slaughtered at Crusier too. Adamek whips him, Haye beats the **** outta HIM EASY. That lean away guard is too easy for a guy like Haye to capitalize on. He leans away, he eats the hooks that Wlad landed ROUND after ROUND from BOTH SIDES until he doesn't get up. People are ****in delusonal. Chambers.... Read the first post in this thread. He isn't VERY GOOD. PERIOD.
I'll tell you who... Shannon Briggs!!! Seriously, Chambers is overrated. He had 12 chances of 3 minute sets to show his skills.
True, but atleast Shannon had an excuse. He was damn near 270 lbs and had asthma. Chambers... I don't know what the hell was going through his head, and the sad thing is that he showed absolutely NO adaptability.
Chambers returns on Tuesday night. He is now 40 years old - turning 41 next month - and has been absent from professional competition since losing to Gerald Washington seven years ago (Barack Obama was still president and would remains so for another nine months, for perspective). His opponent is Corey Lee "Whiz Kid" Williams, a 44 year old 300lb bareknuckle and MMA veteran whose boxing record is 6-13-2 (4). This fight is buried deep on the undercard of a fite.tv broadcast, starting at 8pm EST, headlined by unbeaten Ukrainian prospect Iegor Plevako vs. Brazilian glass cannon Marcelo Leandro "Queixada" Da Silva. ...on the off chance a soul on earth cares.
Jesus...Chambers couldn't find something else to do over the parst 7 years? At least he hasn't been fighting for a while, maybe he comes into the bout with a chiseled body. But probably not.
So he is coming back at heavyweight instead of giving cruiser one more shot? The top guys at heavyweight have only gotten bigger since he retired and he was already on the small side for a heavy.
Heavy. The cruiser experiment failed. That and I'm not sure he could even make it after so long and being the age he is now.
