Eddie did end up giving Rob a massive explanation as to why Groves is fighting Alcoba and not someone else. That is true. I don't know if Eddie was alarmed but he felt he had to put the record straight.
Rob you're ****ing hilarious. This content is protected Back OT, I do think Eddie talks well and I find him interesting to listen to. If he does what he says he's trying to then it will be good for all boxing fans and I for one will look forwards to these shows. Aspects of the love/hate on here is too much, but that's the internet for you.
I watched all but two seconds of the Campbell press conference on seconds out on youtube, It was like Eddie was reading of a script, all pre-rehearsed, everything said to a tee and perfectly, to make sure every last drop of juice was squeezed out for the media to wank over. Boring. Boring. Boring. I said it before, Eddie Hearn is like the Brendan Rodgers of boxing. Trying to change the face of sport with this new approach and fascination with self. Is this the way boxing is going? This new age promoting nonsense? Corporate boxing. Corporate football. Gonna have to take up snooker I think. Oh wait! Darts? **** IT! :fire :rofl
I personally think Hearn does care what the fans think, he always references ESB in his iFilm interviews etc. and has been open about checking the various forums, if he didnt give a **** why would he do it.
Whether Rob's an narcissist is irrelevant. The fact Eddie went out of his way to talk to Rob about this is brilliant. Much better than legal threats being made.
Whatever my doubts about Eddie's intentions in boxing (probably good, but like with politicians - soon as they get in power they realise how hard it is to change anything), it was a classy move getting in touch with Rob.
