Oquendo clearly he actually competed at world level and probably deserved decisions vs Holyfield, Byrd.

Infact in his 8 losses he has an argument that he could've won atleast 4 or 5 of them.

See the tua fight; Oquendo was able to keep the power puncher at bay... Also the Clifford Etienne fight, fast fres proved he has champion like endurance with a heavy work rate down the stretch. I believe he would keep Danny boy off of him. He also had a few dirty tricks up his sleeve; like throwing clubbing rabbit punches with a violent pace.

Totally agree. I think he also beat Holyfield, Byrd, and Toney. Then, past his prime, he also deserved to beat Mormeck, and he had dubious decisions against McCall and Chagaev as well.

I’m guessing Fres gets the winner of McNeeley-Ribalta in this ‘tournament’?

    True story.

I had a telephone conversation with Kevin Rooney when Mike Tyson was prepping for Michael Spinks. I asked who Tyson was sparring with.

Kevin: Mike the bounty hunter (he said this like ‘Joe the plumber,’ no pause to set the nickname aside)

Me: Mike “The Bounty Hunter” who?

    Kevin: Mike the bounty hunter

    Me: What’s his last name?

Kevin: Hunter. His name’s Mike the bounty hunter. He’s really awkward, like Spinks.
