It says right there "Oquendo Turns Down Miller, WBA Title Shot Over VADA Testing."

 

It's a poorly written headline, 'they mean over lack of VADA testing'

The excuse don’t make sense. The guy is shook. Like you said why forfeit your oppurtunity for the title because your scared of what that person might do. If miller fails the saga goes on but if you pull out you leave with nothing.

Actually I think he fears he passes not because he believes Miller is clean, but because the testing wouldn't be effective anymore in such a small timeframe.

It would make sense if you have a history of opponents testing positive, which Fres does. Also if he suspects Miller of doping, no idea if this is the case or not.

 

But Miller just fought like 2 weeks ago wasn't he tested then? Would he be able to use and cycle off by December when the fight was suppose to be?

At this point he isn't good enough to win any sort of title anyway. He should have just taken the money and retired.

 

He can buy himself a nice house and practically be set for life.

 

So is he scared Miller will dope and be banned or is he scared Miller will dope but not get caught. If he is scared of the first option just stay in there and let the WBA ban him after all the time he has wasted with this title shot he may aswell wait. If he scared Miller won’t be caught for doping he should just dope up himself in that case. Regardless there is a million dollars on the line, I’m getting in that ring to get my cheque if I have waited damn near 2 years for this chance.

 

I can't speak for him but I'd say it's likely that the second option is more likely from what the ESPN article I linked to above said:

I don't think it's fair to say that he should dope himself. Besides the obvious point of the risk he'd be running, he may view doping as cheating, which of course is exactly what it is and he may not want to cheat.

 

He wasn’t tested for the Adamek fight. He done an interview with Kugan Cassius a few days before explaining why he’s not signed up to VADA, basically saying it’s too much hassle and he travels a lot...

 

Well that's the lamest excuse I've ever heard especially considering he's failed a test in the past.
