Pac speed is maintained through out the fight, and it comes in combinations. Its different from Zab who also has great speed, but usually its a combination of 2-3 punches.

Pac throws hooks faster, his straights are usually executed from a distance, while Zab throws straights faster because he usually throws it in a shorter distance.

Different punching styles and executed from different circumstances. Hard to pick actually.

    Punches - they're equal

overall - Pac (he's foot speed is miles ahead compared to Zab)

Zab is faster but Pac trows non stop from all angles. Thats why Cotto couldn't see the punches coming. Zab rocked Cotto a few times but he would have an idea of where to expect the punches to come from.

What you're referring to is a rear hand uppercut. Not a lead. For Judah a lead uppercut would come from his right hand. You must be thinking of his counter rear hand uppercut. His signature shot.

Im so surprised that Pac is winning this one. Too many people are bringing up irrelavent topics like their performance against common opponent Cotto.

They didnt ask who was the better fighter they asked who had the fastest handspeed and that is clearly Zab. Zab head to head was faster than PBF and he has been in there with other fast guys and was head to head faster than them as well.

I cant wait for PBF-Pac and it will be interesting to see the speed comparisons, I think that PBF is a little bit faster, especially looking at their recent fights, Pac seemed a little slower in the Cotto fight. PBF seemed sharp as ever, his head movement and upper body movement are definitely faster than Pac.

Their styles are very different and Pac clearly has the better combinations and better angles with his shots.

I watched PBF-Zab again recently with all the people using the Zab fight to point out PBF lost some early rounds and he did.... but it has little to do with a PBF-Pac match up because their styles are so different.

Zab was being extremely cautious and was beating PBF to the punch with the jab so PBF dropped a few rounds but no serious damage was done and PBF was actually forced to be the aggressor and get Zab to open up and that is when he started winning rounds with his superior counter punching.

The fight has little to do with a Pac/PBF fight because Pac doesnt have the reach that Zab does to box from the outside and win rounds like Zab did. Its a completely different style, he throws more but is also more open for counters.

Zab is only a few levels above Pacq in terms of raw speed. However, Zab is about 50 levels above Pacq in terms of skill.

This 'Cotto Test' is stupid. Judah is faster. Pacquaio still looks impressive without gloves on. People forget that it's Manny's use of insane angles that helps him land hard punches.

I'd say at the weights they've both fought at-140,147, they're pretty close.
