Yea, I agree with the other poster at putting some more lower body into your punches. It'll slow you down a little but depending on how good/fast your footwork is I don't see it being huge if your trainer develops it to be on par with your handspeed.

Only thing is those punches are quick but lack some pop. I'd say without coming off as too cocky I'd walk through 90% of those.

Impressive still, kudos to a work in progress. Once you learn to shift and push off your feet you'll be a killer. What weight class you thin of partaking in?

You're older than me and you subscribe to that dumb ****??
    come on dude....

You know there is nothing wrong with recognizing when a dude is ripped up.

When i'd work out in the gym on my first submarine base, there was a dude built like roy jones jr and I'd tell him "you're in RJJ shape" and he knew what I meant.

It wasn't me hitting on him, more of me expressing jealousy.

Not to pat myself on the back, but I gets compliments from other men all the time...of course, they don't say it, or look at my body in the same way a woman does...I agree 100%. Anytime I see another guy with a great body, I'll think now that's what I want to get like...perfect example: David Haye. That guy has the type of body I'd kill for (adjusted for my height, of course.)

Yea.. I'm with you on that one...

When we're at my gym trying to make weight and someone is in great shape we tell him "you're looking damn ripped" and stuff to motivate/congratulate them on their hard work.

Nobody pulls the no homo **** in my gym. Hell, I'm a youngin at 22! lol

Dude chill, I'm playing, of course he's built.

If you'd said something along the lines of 'My Tony, that's quite a package' that would be different....

Have you had any fights yet? Would be fun to know if your hand speed works in a fight..?

Well, first of all, I'm 30 years old...way too old to think about going pro. My goal is to get at least 10 amatuer fights in, just to say I did...I currently weigh about 147, and stand at 5'6", which is very short for the welterweight class. But...I started lifting weights for the 1st time in my life 5 months ago. My trainer told me I should fight at 130 or so, which means I'd have to STOP lifting weights, but I REFUSE to lose all of this muscle weight I have worked so hard to gain, so **** it...I'm short, but I'll give it a go at 145 or so - Jr Welterweight.

I had a few amatuer fights in the late 90s...I'm just NOW taking up boxing again, 10 years later. I had a fight last month, but I lost...luckily, it was more or less a glorified sparring session, so it didn't count towards my amatuer record...I have a few more months before I start officially fighting amtuer fights.

    yeah yeah, I know.

You're one of the posters on this site that I like reading, so I don't like when you buy into the trends like "no homo"

Hmm. Well if you'd like reference.

    I'm 5"8 maybe stretching 5"9 and I fight at 141.

I do lose quite abit of weight to make it though. Even on the fight day.. I usually fight opponents around or under my height. rarely do I get people that are much taller.

I have had to face the odd 6 footer though... but that's quite rare.

You'll be fine if you lead with a good jab and keep a slick, tighter defense.

Come to think of it, is that a banned substance in most sports?

I wouldn't take it... it makes you retain water and when you go to make weight it will make it a *****...

Ya got your priorities backward, m. If a savvy trainer says you'd be better off as a Jr. Lightweight or '35 pounder, take it seriously. If not, you could be the most well-muscled guy takin' a ten-count. Not much to show for lifting weights.
