Faster hands, Tyson or Ali?

punching upward a punch loses velocity,add in the smaller gloves that Ali wore sometimes 6 ouncers in the 60's with much less padding ,its a big difference than 10 ounce more padded gloves...put those little gloves on Tyson and its a definite distinction.


you can see Ali in the amatuers,hes clearly faster,just like Tyson was at a lower weight.

 

I can only go by what my eyes tell me.
Prime Ali punched faster than prime Tyson.
Prime Patterson punched faster than prime Ali.

 

Ali is faster than Tyson, as were some of the 80's heavyweights.
