To have success at the elite level?

    Patterson was the fastest.

    Rahman might be the slowest.

    Out of champs...

Some of the fastest handspeeds: Patterson, Ali, Tyson, Holmes (more so with 3-4 punches and below, not really in flurries), Haye,

Fastest feet: Ali, Patterson & Tyson could close the distance very quickly,

Slowest handspeed: Foreman, Liston, Bruno, Smith
    Slowest feet: Liston, Smith, Bruno,

Holmes & Haye, but no Holy? :huh

Heavyweight Holy of '88-'93 could pull off some blisteringly combinations at least marginally faster than anything those two could do, in my humble opinion. Not to mention Holy's ridiculously fast counter-punching ability.

Holyfield deserves to be in there for combination punching, I guess. As far as far as throwing 1 to 4 punches though, I think Holmes and Haye are both faster.
