:thumbsup what amazes me with him is. He'll stand in front of you and throw a straight right down the middle with no set up punch and his opponent won't see it coming.
Floyd is like this also, but when Roy does it, it just blows my mind more

PFP the fastest was Young Ali or Roy Jones at LH... Fastest hands ive seen period is Meldrick Taylor, although Prime Camacho rivals him... Then again the fastest hands period might have belonged to a flyweight Mark Too Sharp Johnson, for those of you who disagree maybe you just seen him at bantam,Jr bantam when he had already been around awhile,, Check out some of his fights at flyweight. Always liked Johnny Tapias speed at JR bantam,Bantam..... I also have to mention a prime Sugar Ray Leonard (WW).And i think a prime Michael Nunn(at Mw) rivals prime Jones, at least on his feet, jones might have the slight edge in hand speed.

Another guy who at one time reminded me of the next Meldrick Taylor, was Fast Eddie Hopson.. To bad he ended up having a glass chin and lost to Tracy Patterson in his first defense... Another guy was prime Bernard Taylor one of the greatest amatuers of all time, and was a helluva pro for a while too (lost controversial dec to Pedroza) think he burnt out from to many amatuer fights(over 400).... Another little guy was former Bantam contender Harold Petty who had some close fights with Richie Sandoval... OTher speed demons Howard Davis and Tyrone Crawley.

 Yey no one could argue with that, as just about all the guys mentioned were bruthas... Except for Macho Camacho.

Who for the white guys? As far as old timers Billy Conn was pretty fast,Gene Tunney too and a lot of others Loughran,Corbett(no footage though).... So was Gamache,Malinaggi, Pazienza,Calzaghe was pretty fast at JM.

Ok has to be Willie Pep must be an italian thing ^^

Fastest Mex, i think ill go with prime Tapia, ODLH had some fast hands in his prime... Miguel Canto (footwork),and i guess a whole lot of flys and smaller weight guys,, Alberto Jiminez, Martin Castillo pretty fast in his prime. Panchito Bojado had some super fast hands to bad he didnt go as far as he should have.

HANds down im sure Roy is the fastest LH of all time, he didnt really lose much (if any) when moving up, hard to imagine a LH that will ever be as fast as him, maybe not in our lifetime, at Mw though he was rivaled by a prime Michael Nunn...

Just like Ali no ones come close, at least not a heavy over 200lbs (Roy dont count).

Yeah, that italian thing for whites. Except poor slow gatti, but he had the power to compensate
    .

My list is like everybody elses, Pac, Floyd, SRL, Jones, Camacho, Taylor, and Gamboa and Mares have some good hand speed too.

As far as over bantam weight i would say so and definitely PFP. But IVe seen quite a few Asians match him in the speed department, but there like flyweights so kind of dont count:lol: One advantage the little guys have.

Alot of Japanese, filipino , fighters have been really fast and seem to have fast hands (Flash Elorde,Prime Epsinosa,Prime Penalosa,Rolando Pascua,Brian Viloria,Rolando Navarette,Prime Salud) all fast hands, with solid or heavy hands, and i heard Pancho Villa too but no footage of him.. Most of the Koreans were more tough sluggers(rock chins) ,, Most with aggressive swarmer types. Jung Koo Chang was a really fast swarmer.

Yes they do have good speed, i think Tapia was faster than Mares though, do you? Nonito too or maybe its just awesome timing ,not the same as awesome speed.. Other guys today areZab, Kahn,Dirrell,Haye(pfp),Dawson,Mayweather,Ward,Manny,Berto,Chambers,Guzman,Rigondeaux,Funeka,Martinez,Alexander .. .

Gatti had good hand speed he just wasnt quick at getting out the way, and even then he had decent defense when he tried, but that wasnt him, he didnt mind getting hit either:lol:

Exactly some fighters are quicker with feet, hands then the other... Most say Ali was the fastest hw, but there are many who would say Patterson had faster hands and Ali the quicker feet..

A fighter i remember of being so slow afoot was Arguello, and he was underestimated as not being quick,,, But make no mistake Arguello had fast hands, and delivered that ko punch in a heartbeat..Joe Louis was another one very fast hands and slow afoot... I dont think i ever seen Toney dance or use quick fancy footwork, but had super fast hands.. Even as a fat hw probably had th fastest hands at the time (at HW)...Prime Chavez also had underrated speed, his speed was deceptive.
