Not really a speedster, though. The best footwork of all time, though, definitely. Broke all the rules, still seemed surefooted.

watch Duran vs Buchanan, how quickly he's charging in and closing the distance, but still able to punch effectively.

    Exceptional natural balance and footspeed.

Early Chang too, though certainly not textbook either.

Laguna, Marcel, Luis Rodriguez with their bouncing, in-out mid-range movement would be worthy picks, though i don't think Rodriguez hands were overly quick for single shots, he still had a fast way of fighting.

Two sides of the same coin, honestly.

Pep flowed laterally better than anybody, but Pea had better pivots and retreats. Which do you prefer?

I'll call Pea's footwork better, personally. Pep, movement.

Hearns deserves a shout out i think although his hands were faster than his feet, his balance was always perfect.

Most fighters under the late Steward shared this though.

..willie pep could move from side to side as noted, but he was brilliant at going straight in, throwing punches in bunches and getting out again without being hit.

    Maybe Wlad?
He is very fast for a hw, and especially for such a big man.
His speed is pretty equal to Haye's, he also seems to stay in balance almost all the time.

Sure he isn't like Pep or the other "small" men, but for a hw he's very balanced.
