The usual excuse is "the ref counted too slow". During which fights do you think the count was very quick?

The first one coming to mind is Patterson vs Moore. He was counting like a mad man the second time Moore was down. But i'm sure there are others, particularly from that period, that were much faster.

I agree. IMO Foreman was up at 9.

The ref counted to ten. Sheridan's count was two seconds off the referee's count.

Foreman should thank the referee for saving him from more punishment, he had nothing left and Ali could go all 15 if he had to. Good call though, you gotta wonder if the public's opinion, cheering etc had some influence on the referee's decision.

The ref wasted no time beginning the count, but big George was down between 11 and 12 secs.

Lewis vs Rachaman I or II?
I've rewatched both fights nearly 10 times (and the KO's in slow motion) and must admit that count was perfect in I and II fight. It's obvious that neither Lewis nor Rachman could beat the count in these fights.

The count Lewis received in South Africa was very quick.

Not that it would have mattered much.

Well Tyson's count was just as slow also. It took the ref about 13 or so sconeds to reach ten on Tyson.
