Are you telling me you missed THAT Jc fight were he threw forty punches in 3 seconds? It probably would have been more IMO but he had 2 broken hands and already fought 3 title fights on the same day. It was so quick compubox simply deemed it to be unmeasurable.

Without even reading any other posts I'll say Roy Jones Jr. & Sugar Ray Leonard. Those 2 immediately come to mind.

I trained WC for a short time and I have boxed for several years, I can tell you that WC punches are nothing like being in the ring.

Excellent list for speed right there. Tyson had some of the fastest attacking combos of any HW in history. Mayweather is so good largely because of his speddy hands & reflexes. Calzagne has incredibly fast hands & reflexes also & so did Sweet Pea. I haven't seen too much of Willie Pep to judge though..............

Exactly. WC just isn't effective in a street fight. I was a brown belt, trained for almost 3 years, but everytime I have been in a street fight boxing is what I naturally use, and what is effective. The problem with the rolling punches is that it doesn't work when the target is moving and throwing back. It leaves you wide open to be hit, and reduces your movement significantly whilst throwing them.

Not sure that Calzlaghe has faster hands than Jones. If anything, I would say they were slightly slower. Jones also intentionally put more power on his punches IMO.

Taylor has the fastest hands I have seen, followed by Camacho at 130 and Jones and Mosley (135 version).

Agreed, not to mention the fact that the WC guys I trained with were in **** shape. I was training Muay Thai at the time and couldnt believe how little cardio those guys did, they just rolled hands and did forms, etc.

Its a cool art, I just get a little tired of the phantasy element of it because it is so prevelant.
