    Fair enough.

Out of curiousity, do you think Taylor's hands are 66% faster than Ali's? Because that's the weight difference. I don't personally, but if you do I'm not going to argue.

good question weight does have a lot to do with speed and how fast the punch is delivered. the heavier the person the slower the punch is likely to be. but as RJJ went up in weight he was still fast but not as fas as his previos weight class so there might be some truth to that statement

Yeah I just meant because it's in reference to pound for pound.

If it was just.. "who's the fastest fighter"... I would definately say Taylor.

In this regard, the RJJ that fought John Ruiz was incredible.

very true as far as fastest i would say taylor .p4p it's between RJJ and ali, i guess you can say tyson... but really RJJ proved his speed P4P by moving up from 154 to HEavey weight and he kept his speed only slowing down a bit but still being the fastest fighter in each weight claas he stoped by in

    The people spoke, I responded.

I think he is on the bottom tier of the list.

    Fastest EVER!!!???

I love Calzaghe, and his hand speed is great. But I can think of 10 fighters off the top of my head with faster hands that ARENT up there.

We all know I am a huge fan of Joe's, but cmon.....EVER?

Why is Sugar Ray Leonard not even mentioned

again If "fastest" means Most Agile and shifty, I'll take SR Leonard, Pep, Whitakr, Ali and a young Benny Leonard, who dared anyone to hit him with his hands down. Twas said, BLeonard practiced his agility with a tomcat and was never satisfied until he had the tomcat's agility beaten. Then there's Wilfred Benitez, whose head and body were there one moment and then gone the next, even when he just stayed on the ropes. All those guys were tough to hit!

But if one talks about hand speed, SRay Leonard, SR Robinson, Ali, Bob Foster and Finito Lopez used to put a lot together in just milliseconds

    overall Leonard
