Meldrick Taylor, followed by Sugar Ray. I'm not putting n SNV, because he's an obvious choice and its gonna get pretty redundant.
Howard Davis, Jr. hasn't come up yet, and deserves a shout. He was described by eyewitnesses from Montreal on through his peak (likely the June 1983 stoppage of Coverson) as the fastest man in boxing. He was already a veteran of 30 when he drew with a rising 19 year old Meldrick. A peak for peak showdown might have been the supreme speed versus speed match of all time.
The world was also in black & white till then as well . here is a huge lack of footage of boxers of the past compared to what we now have.
To this day its still Camacho, Sr. from 1983 against the shot Bazooka Limon..... Camacho was fast as lightning all around..... MR.BILL:deal
Meldrick Taylor Roy Jones Cassius Clay Ray Leonard Hector Camacho Fast Eddie Hopson reminded me of Taylor but for some reason didnt go far in the pros although he did win a vacant title over a no name. Then was kod by Tracy Patterson Johnny Tapia really in his prime can you think of many that were faster than him considering he was a JB,Bantam in his prime? Mark Johnson- Alberto Jiminez dare you to find 2 flat out faster fighters,at least on that night. Howard Davis
