well you have 2 pictured above, this maybe more than 10 so take your pick, Ali, Tyson, Patterson is just as fast if not the fastest, Joe Louis, Jack Johnson, Ernie Terrell, Tony Tubbs, Michael Dokes, Zora Folley, Jack Dempsey, Ezzard Charles, Tommy Loughran, Holmes had to be close and i've always read that many thought John L. Sullivan to be one of the fastest early fighters ever, but this is probably the top of the list to start with.

I don't know how I had missed this guy fight in his entire career, until the other day I started reading about him and watched what i could find of him, so that's pretty funny I agree.

Who cares how good he was? Not that he was actually as bad as some people like to make out but at least he achieved something as he’s in the record books for being the biggest and heaviest heavyweight title holder ever.

One bit of caution is I do sometimes read early fighters called fast, but meaning in terms of a fast pace rather than the actual movement speed.

I'm sure I've seen Ed Dunkhorst called both fast and lumbering in the same post.

Are we counting the time Roy Jones Jr moved to heavyweight for that paper strap?

Configuring 1.one punch / 2. combination ability of how fast you would be hit with 2 or more punches at the best weight for speed

    1. Mike Tyson (215)
    2. Mike Dokes General
    3. Cassius Clay (205)
    4. Wlad Klitschko (225 )
    5. Larry Holmes (210)
    6. Holyfield . General
    7. Joe Louis ( sub 195/200 /smaller gloves)
    8. Floyd Patterson ( sub 190)
    9. Spinks. General
    10. Tony Tubbs .When fit.

This is all subjective but doing a fast list ......IDK thers more variables sucj as guys below or around 200 pounds /lighter gloves..etc...etc...

Mike Tyson is my number one not only did he have one punch speed and combinations he threw with power which also eats up speed when he planted his feet ,much easier to flick non menacing punches out in front .

Do you mean most famous fast handed fighters, or just pure speed?

Well there’s never been an all round faster heavyweight than Ali in my opinion.
The whole hit, hand speed, foot speed and reflexes.

Wlad does not belong on the list. Many others would make him look as if in slow motion in comparison. Prime Ali by far the quickest. He is the only fighter who’s speed was objectively measured and determined to be faster than the jab of SRR.

This is just about hand speed, the rest don't matter.
