Waldo don't do roadwork. He swims.

I know that Patterson did the NY Marathon a couple times (as did Ingo). The sub 200 pounders would be my pick.

    Marciano, Ali, maybe Evander.

Ten miles doesn't really determine speed though.

Fitz hated training though so it depends on how hard he would have trained

    I'd probably go
    Marciano
    Norton
Jim Jeffries trained more than 10 miles so maybe he could do the 10 miles fast if that was all he was running

I wonder how some of the lesser known champs like Ibragimov, Moorer or Byrd would do in a footrace?

Just wondering. All those fighters were relatively fleet of foot, with decent stamina. Wouldn't be surprised if they had decent times.

Dempsey could win if Wills were chasing him.

Douglas could win if it were during his 30 minute prime, except he'd be out of his prime for part of the race.

Shannon Briggs would be live if the race took place in a hyperbaric chamber.

Dokes or McCall could win depending on the amount and purity of cocaine at the finish line.

Jack Johnson would lose but his legion of admirers would make a litany of excuses for him.

Jack Dempsey would refuse to join the race but his admirers would still insist "Toledo Jack" would have won by country mile.

Rocky Marciano would win the race after he entered the competition in the oldest age bracket. His admirers would spill ragu on their undershirts.

Corbett and Jeffries regularly ran ten miles so one of them.
