    Duran started off as a super-bantam and he fought

    SRL (a consensus top 3 welter of all time) ranked #9 in the Ring's greatest fighters of the last 80 years (in 2002) and he fought him in SRL's country and on neutral turf

    Hagler (a consensus top 3 middleweight of all time, arguably #1) , ranked #17 in the Ring's greatest fighters of all time, in Hagler's country

    Hearns (a consensus top 3 junior-middle of all time, arguably #1) in Hearns' country, ranked #67 in the Ring's greatest 80 fighters of all time

    Benitez (a consensus top 5 junior-middle of all time), ranked #68 on the Ring's greatest fighters of the last 80 years, in Benitez's country

    He fought in many different countries: Panama, America, Argentina, Mexico, France, Costa Rica, Canada, South Africa and fought many of his opponents in their backyards/home countries where the deck was stacked heavily against him and in their favour

    He fought Iran Barkey when he was 38 years old and had been in more wars than the British army. Barkey had just sparked out a 42-2 Tommy Hearns in his previous fight and he would go on to lose a SD to a prime Michael Nunn in his very next fight after Duran beat him. Barkley was a beast of a man and puncher and he was an enormous MW. Duran looked like a flyweight next to him and he was giving away at least 60lbs if not more.

    what i find so funny is you even think floyd will have a slight chance with ggg:lol:

    its a mismatch at least i admit it floyd is a incredible fighter but GGG is a different animal

    i agree fans have been wrong about fighters thinking they would beat floyd like pac or even hatton but these fighters are nothing compared to tripple g

    even mayweather would be a underdog for the first time against GGG

    as a pac fan i thought pac would knock out mayweather in 2009 in 2015 i hoped he did

    with GGG i have NO doubt he knocks him out easy

    my point is i want to see it because it will at least show mayweather has *****

    Those are great accomplishments. It's a shame that a 35 year old with a **** resume like GGG has never attempted to be great.:yep

    Difference between Leonard and Floyd is that Floyd's power won't carry up to 160.

    GGG doesn't claim to be the best ever...Floyd does.

    Fact is Dan is right. Ray Leonard and Duran dared to be great. If Floyd thinks he is the best to have ever lived why not fight GGG, like the greats from other eras did.

    For the record, I don't think Floyd should fight GGG. Floyd is a great, but not the greatest, not by a long way..

    What PBF claims to be is irrelevant the fact is he's proven much more proven than GGG is.:deal GGG must prove himself, with Murray as your best win being 35 with 35 fights he has a lot of work to do.

    You realise SRL started at a much higher weight though right? You realise he also had a lot less fights and was about a decade younger. Right, good we can all move on then.

    And let's get one thing straight, Ward hasn't gone up to chase glory he's gone up because he couldn't make 168 no more. If he was daring to be great he wouldn't of been trying to fight that Aussue prior to the Cuban.

    Rafael must have memory issues since FLoyd went up just as many weight divisions as Ray Leonard did- Five.

    The difference is Leonard fought north of his original weight division (WW) only 7 times whereas Mayweather has fought north of his original class (SFW) 22 times.

    It's such a stupid debate when it comes to Mayweather moving up to MW. He's not even a large WW.
