I'm genuinely curious.

 

Not a very good fight if true. I know 160 isn't a deep division for GBP but there are a number of better middleweights out there than Mora and most aren't tied to HBO or Top Rank.

 

This also does very little little for Quillin's profile, with casuals or hardcores.

If he beats Mora by anything other than a clean sweep the credit will be minimal.

If he loses or lets it be close the effect on his already shakily uncertain image could be ruinous.

He won't look good, that much is certain.

 

I agree with all this. I haven't seen this fight mentioned anywhere else but this thread so hopefully this right here is as close as it comes to happening.

 

I though they were trying to get Jermaine Taylor? Sergio More would make for a less than fan friendly fight. With Taylor you get a guaranteed KO over a former champ when spun in Quillen's favor.

 

The cure for insomnia has returned. How anyone approve of fight involving mora is utterly beyond me. He's ****, only tries to spoil and utterly utterly boring to watch.

At least Mora has had one great night in his career beating Vernon for the Light Middle title, Lee has done nothing so far.

Mora isn't a bad boxer, on his best day he's actually a good slick boxer although he's also a horrible and frustrating one to watch.

Mora on his A Game could well give Quillen problems and i wouldn't even be surprised if he won a Split decision type result.

 

Fat Dan's Chat mentioned he heard a rumor that Peter Manfredo was an option for Quillin's next fight. GB has no faith/respect for Quillin or Danny Jacobs for that matter. They keep these guys inactive then put them into fights with little developmental value in terms of skill or publicity.

Manfredo was fighting at Light Heavyweight in his last bout. I doubt he's coming to 160
