Not a robbery,i had it 7-5 for Ruiz or draw but 5-7 Parker is about right-only 1-2 rounds difference [some rounds were too close to score ] ,problem is he isnt impressive in any possible way, hardly top 5 heavyweight right now and somehow got a title.Parker isnt some K.O machine, lacks speed and mediocre stamina,6`4 only too.At least has a chin i guess.
I had it 6-5 for Ruiz going into the final round and missed half of that one. But in this case the rounds (I missed parts of some of those too) were mostly very competitive, and with some I doubted which way it should go. Of course the homeboy got the decision with a fight this close, that's boxing rule #1 and we knew that coming in. But this doesn't look like one of those fights where 80% saw one boxer win with a couple of dominating rounds, and the home judges scored it the other way.
This is a ridiculous thread.a robbery is if he dominated for the whole fight (he didnt).a close fight could of gone either way that being show on the scores. I had ruiz winning by a point .a robbery definitely not.
I told you guys parker is a hypejob. How many idiots argued with me telling me Ruiz is fat and going to get knocked out etc.
So what happened to Ruiz's face then ? Did his corner punch his face and wipe it with sandpaper between rounds ?
Dammit, Chris is my boy but he persuaded me to pick Martin over Joshua, when I knew Bradley had a better shot against Pacquiao In the 3rd fight.....
Just watched the fight and although I didn't score it I was not impressed with Parker. He seems to have plateaued and I was fan going in. Couple of take away from the fight. Parker fought off the back foot much like Ward in a safety first mode. Unlike Ward he was more active with the jab and it had more bite on it but he never showed any urgency anytime in the fight. You can say he stuck to his game plan or you can say all he had to do was survive and he knew the score would be in his favor. I felt Ruiz got the best of almost every exchange but the fact he couldn't slip the jab cost him. Parker has a very good resume so far I feel it's better than Wilder's and Joshua's but he no longer impresses me after today and the Takam bout. I would make Joshua a big favorite. As for Ruiz - if he could lose another 12lbs and fight with a little more aggression he could be a very fun heavyweight to watch. He is very calm. Has fast hands and good inside moves.
What do you want shitbag? Yeah I'm high on Parker, and guess what he just beat two guys back to back in Takam and Ruiz that are far better than ****ing Breazeale and Whyte.
Thats a great point! I wont bother scoring rounds ill just look at both faces at the end to tell me who won.
Oh don't **** on Breazeale and Whyte now Mr. CST, You also Picked Breazeale to beat Joshua, and If I'm not mistaken, you also picked Whyte to beat Joshua.
Ruiz is better than anyone Joshua/Wilder fought, but I also dont believe that Ruiz is the same guy he was back in 2013 pre Hamer. Like I honestly don't believe that Ruiz would have struggled agaisnt Liakovich like he did but he did have a broken hand. I also think he's lost his fire, and motivation, since he wasn't getting those big fights, and was basically doing jack **** from 2013 up to the Parker fight, whereas Parker at least got a fight in with Takam.
What an earth makes you think parker still couldnt beat Joshua? Joshua still hasnt beaten a live body.
