That's the difference between us and people like CST80. We're practical. We don't let our emotions rule over us. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is a guy that can win fights.
A lot like something someone would say about Joe Louis right after the Tommy Farr fight. Just saying...
Joshua is mollycoddled because he is now a champion but if wasnt you would say they have matched him decently.
that is all true but boxing is scored round by round. In rounds that Ruiz did engage he won but there were also rounds he did nothing. Parker +2 is the right score, box nation had the same and studio had a draw
I scored the fight 115-113 to Parker but some of those rounds could have gone either way. I was really disappointed in Parker tbh, he should be winning much more convincing against guys like Ruiz if he wants to be considered a top heavyweight. My top 10 based on eye test: Fury Joshua Ortiz Wlad Wilder Haye Povetkin Parker Pulev Ugonoh
That's a big step up and if that fight happens then noone can say he is mollycoddled but he hasnt had it yet so as of now he is.
Mollycoddled is relative. For someone that's been a pro about as long as Joshua, I'll say they've been brought along accordingly. Joshua is 4 years removed from the 2012 Olympics. To expect him to be banging with top dog in the division this early in his career is being disingenuous. You guys need to realistic, not every is Mike Tyson. Some guys need time to mature and be acquainted with the pro game. Also, you have to remember both Joshua and Wilder got in the game late.
I had Ruiz up until around 6, bit disappointed if I had to be honest. Parker is not sorting out his issues which shouldn't be that hard to and just relying on certain things he does very well. If he balanced things up a bit more then he could be a lot better but right now it's feeling like he's sticking to the same old when if he was going to show more he should have by now. Deserved win, I had it 115-113 to Parker and the atmosphere was amazing but it's starting to feel like this win may be as good as it gets. I don't fancy his chances against Joshua unless he changes tack and starts dealing with the holes in his game. Have to say however, Ruiz came to win and I suspect will trouble the hell out of a lot of people. If he came in proper shape and was able to maintain his work rate of even near to he would have had that
