Well they have 15 days after the fight to make a decision or get stripped. Canelo will have been the middleweight champion for 2 weeks if he is the winner. That's a disgrace to achieve that and get stripped of it!

The guy cant even make 168 anymore. Never could. Was never serious about anything. Just look at his pathetic post 2011 career.

The WBC can't strip the middleweight title from the winner.

You can lose 5 pounds overnight easily by structuring water and food intake, he looks to be right on target to make the weight comfortably.

Yeah but the closer he gets to 30 years old it will start to hurt him.

First of all, Canelo is far from fat, guy is pretty ripped... but I would also say that the idiots who say Canelo isn't a legit and AT LEAST medium sized middleweight are total morons. He has clearly outgrown 154 as evidenced by his last several fights where HE dictated the weight and as I said, you're a moron if you think otherwise.

WBC can certainly strip a WBC champion if he refuses to fight mandatory, and they keep confirming that:
    boxingnews24.com/2015/11/wbc-yet-again-confirms-cottocanelo-winner-must-face-ggg/?

They already made an exception allowing Cotto to face Canelo instead of mandatory Golovkin, so this time they are saying that there will be no more exceptions.
