........The first two are a ways out in front of the others, but I like 'em all nonetheless. :thumbsup Salvador Sanchez - Represented everything a champion should be; skilled, smart, tough, hard worker, poised. Bobby Chacon - A polar opposite of Sanchez in many regards, but this was Gatti before there was a Gatti, and a better fighter too. You couldn't not root for this guy. Alexis Arguello - Proof you could be a stone-cold killer in the ring and a gentleman outside it. That is a valuable lesson. Marvin Hagler - My first boxing hero. Toughest human being I have ever seen. You couldn't design a fighter in a test tube any better than what you ended up with here. Matthew Saad Muhammad - He and Chacon are the two most consistently exciting battlers I've ever seen. Almost incapable of being in a bad fight. Danny Lopez - See the comments above, under Arguello's heading. Ruben Olivares - Sensational KO artist who could box far more effectively than usually given credit for. Was the undisputed king of the southern California fight scene in that town's glory days of boxing.
These are my favorite active fighters that are still game and fight at least twice a year. Marco Antonio Barrera is a favorite and active, but I consider him near retirement. Lol I know, casa's personality isn't all that. I like him purely because of his style and boxing talent. Yeah I have the whole fight from taylor against chavez II and it doesn't make you quite happy looking at it..
