The blatant manipulation of the referee, compubox stats and scoring has shown no abatement in recent fights. It gotten to the point where my friends and I laugh and roll our eyes and say "here we go again". Fair fights are few and far between and this is badly tarnishing the sport. Feel free to list as many examples as you like.

I can teach you how to develop friendships if that's what you're asking. I might be able to help you overcome the debilitating ignorance you suffer from. We'll start by getting you out to visit the local psychiatric ward.

That's not what I was asking. I was just surprised to hear that you have friends.

Good post. I agree with the OP.

I can understand the benefit of the doubt going to the champion.

But when you see a guy get beaten up and proclaimed the winner, something stinks.

I agree with your main premise, i.e. that hometown / A-side bias has become acceptable and that's a very bad thing.

However I do think you exaggerated a bit, e.g. "there's no such thing as a fair fight", when some fights are still fair and above board.

when your dealing with big fights. then yes some usually get the upper hand on negotiations. sometimes rightfully so and other times its just a big time promoter looking out for his fighter.

like the ggg vs canelo fight. i think canelo probably dominated negotiations. he deff had the upper hand there. its the biggest fight out there for both of them however canelo is the money man in boxing right now. so everyone kinda wants him, so ggg would concede a few thing right there . not to mention ggg is getting older and he needs to make this fight now.

so expect alot of canelo favoritism, judging for sure will b on canelos side imo. i could b wrong . oscar must b scared this is huggeee. if canelo goes down thats huge towards his business. its almost like canelo is all he has. an there isnt another product that will produce like canelo thats on his roster. if canelo gets by ggg then at least oscar can hype some one like antonio margarito and then go for all belts with bjs. cuz bjs to me would get beat up by either ggg or canelo . the real threat for the winner of ggg/canelo is the charlo who just moved up to 160 and this dereveynenchko guy seems to be the real deal as we..

It will quite interesting to see if your theory becomes reality. How about the eastern euro angle?
