    i couldnt decide between lyle and quarry or frazier and foreman..............what a brilliant decade

    Norton just shades Frazier as my personal fave...

    I admire them both for different reasons...Joe for being a pure warrior, as brave as any man whoever stepped into the ring imo, and Norton because he always seemed to me to be such a charming, humble gent...and so unlucky when it came to the close fights...


    Two of my favourite top half a dozen fighters ever...

    Absolutely Stevie...and maybe this is more fitting for another thread, but the decade was the greatest universally, that is ,for all the weight classes...than any other decade. Never had there been so many great champions in all the divisions than the 70's. This is just my opinion, of course.

    Ali,Frazier,Foreman,Norton,Holmes,Young etc. Quite incredible.

    Frazier and Foreman about on par with Ali then followed by Holmes.

    Really liked Frazier, Norton, Foreman anf Lyle. But Quarry was/is my favorite.

    Got to appreciate how Shavers came back from losing to Stander and Quarry to have such a good career (also surviving the Roy Williams fight).

    I'm pretty sure Big Jake is one that voted for Chuvalo. George was/is a good guy.

    I've always been drawn to Frazier's blue collar approach and determination.
