I've been watching some of my fights the 80's was just so inconsistant.

Michael Dokes was dismantling Mike Weaver en route to a quick stoppage one fight, and then tossing roses to the crowd before getting iced by Gerry Coetzee the next.

Witherspoon blasts out Frank Bruno, then lays down for Bonecrusher Smith (Not to mention snoozily beating Greg Page, snoozily losing to Pinklon Thomas, and then snoozily beating Tony Tubbs.

Was a strong Page fan, but if I knew then what I know now, I probably wouldn't have been, and probably followed Tim Witherspoon more.

My favorites were Holmes, Tyson, Smith and Coetzee..and not necessarily in that order..oh, and the title winning version of Thomas.
