Agree. B level fighters dont beat Kostya Tsyzu and give mayweather that much trouble. On top of that they dont dominate other B-C level fighters like Hatton did.

He was more of an A- IMO.

Katsidis right now. Duddy too. Those guys are fun to watch win or lose.

Well we're not talking about all-time greatness here, so I think it's OK to be quite broad with it and not look for intricate bandings or anything:

A-class = guys who held a world title for a significant period of time (eg 2 years), and/or were unified champions, and/or were multi-weight champions, and/or were p4p-ranked for a significant period of time (eg 1 year min)
    example: Ricky Hatton

B-class = guys who held one version of a world title briefly (eg 18 months or less), who never unified or became p4p-ranked or won titles in different weight classes
    example: Carlos Quintana

C-class = guys who were top 10 in their divisions for a significant period of time (eg 2 years) but never won one of the major world titles
    example: Ryan Rhodes

    Fair?

    This!

Very exciting fighter. got robbed against MAB in their 1st fight.

I like Emmanual Augustus as well. I'd say Gatti was a B+/A- fighter and I liked him too.

Hatton was a one-dimensional brawler... he was B.

I still love him though :yep

Katsidis of course, and also Sergei Liakhovich. His fight with Brewster made me an instant fan. I'd love to see the guy get one last decent win, but Helenius is a probably the end of the line for him. The Valuev fight was painful to watch

I don't think it's fair to call Hatton a B level fighter. He was A- in my books, and I was never a huge fan. He only lost to prime ATGs

edit; I also like Eddie Chambers and Tony Thompson to a lesser degree

    Beat me to it.

Hatton is a multi world champion and national champion.

    :patsch

I guess my favorite B Level fighter was Emmanuel Augustus. He was always fun to watch and was good enough to surprise you with the occasional awesome fight.

I guess my current B Level fighter is probably David Haye. He is one dimensional, skilless and a dick, but he has flashes of watchability and the best excuses in the sport.

I think Gotti was an A list fighter the majority of his career. He had real boxing skills and displayed them in several of his fights. He just loved to bang more than box and he was a class A banger.:bbb:bbb

i think this is fair. but doing this classification there would be some exemption. for example, juarez never won a world title but was close enough when he almost won over barrera the first timeand also had a draw with chris john. i can rate juarez a "B" in this case.

also guys like luisito espinosa, chris john and gerry penalosa are "A" fighters?
