    Who are your favorite boxers 25 years or younger? They will form the middle period of the next generation. I consider anyone 30 years or younger today belonging to the next generation (Post Pac Era, Post FMJ Era, Post BHOP Era, Post Barrera Era, Post Morales Era) whatever you want to call it. Boxers like Edwin Valero, Timothy Bradley, Marcos Maidana, Andre Ward, Chad Dawson, and Erislandy Lara belong to this generation, but are at the older end of it, and should be approaching their prime soon, if they haven't done so already. Those boxers that are 25 years or younger have still a few more years before they approach their prime. They are still developing their styles, and are early in their professional career.

    Here are a few of my favorites:

    * Carlos Velasquez
    * Amir Khan
    * Jorge Linares
    * Abner Mares

    I can't believe Yuriorkis Gamboa is already 28 years old, and has only 18 fights under him. He better get moving soon as I'm sure that's the plan. Hopefully, he can fight Chris John and JuanMa soon. JuanMa is 26. I thought he would be a little bit younger. But he has 28 fights under him.

    Garret Simon looks pretty good in this fight, and at age 18 and 6'4" 204 lbs., he's sure to be a force in the heavyweight division in the future. Maybe sooner than later.
