Rocky 1, 3, 4 Cinderella Man Gladiators (Cuba Gooden Jr., Brian Dennahie) Undisputed (Wesley Snipes, Ving Rhames)
That was a good film... The heavyweight that Ving KO's at the end at the MGM was in fact Duncan Dokiwari..
ah wiht loius gosset jr was going through to see if anyone else put it so you beat me to it DIGGSTOWN hellz yes
Rocky Rocky III Raging Bull The Quiet Man (with John Wayne) Diggstown Kid Galahad (with Elvis Presley) If you expand this category to include movies about illegal street boxing I would mention a few more films: Any Which Way But Loose Any Which Way You Can Hard Times Gladiator Fight Club Snatch
I have that in my AVI collection. Wesley had a great role and played it well. If ESB had a torrent, I'd upload it. :good
"I must break you" "if he dies, he dies" love em quotes from 4. I was watching a HBO feature on Calzaghe hopkins, they had hopkins with his high tech team doing scientific scans for optimal performance. Meanwhile calzaghe is running up and down hills training low tech. Kinda reminds me of rocky 4. Calzaghe has even started not to shave a la balboa :bbb If his ring entrance is any song from rocky 4 i think they are taking the **** :rofl and mucking with my head.
Not yet mentioned hare, but outstanding movies nonetheless: Champion, about the life and early death of Duk Koo Kim Fat City, about small time fighters, directed by the great John Huston, a former amateur fighter himself. Girlfight, about female boxing. Let's do it again, a rare case of a comedy with a boxing theme. The Great White Hope (1971) is a Jack Johnson biopic. Little known movie overlooked even by hardcore boxing fans. There's also a very good biopic on Corbett, made in the early 40's, i think its called Gentleman Jim.
