You've took a bunch of my favourites, but the Numero Uno will always be "The Cincinnati Cobra". The Klitschko's had some pretty ****ing badass nicknames.
I knew a guy who boxed with the name House of Pain in early 00s, was a fringe journeyman but was a funny one.
I like those too, these were just shot off the top of my head after sitting around thinking for about 15 minutes, that's why I'm glad you guys chimed in because I knew I missed A LOT, A LOT of good ones too.
You've basically just listed every nickname in the history of boxing. Any point in this thread going on?
Thanks, Sugar Ray Robinson is my favorite boxer to watch old footage of. I don't know how I let "Sugar" slip my mind.
There are tons of names not on there, not even close Calzaghe, Ward, Kessler, Abraham, Miranda, Broner, Maidana, Corrales, Grant, Norton, Liston, Quarrey, Quartey, Cooney, Forrest you do realize all these guys have nicknames just to name a dozen or so more. There are approx. 20,000 ACTIVE professional boxers worldwide (not even counting throughout history) and you think these are all the nicknames. I don't understand? If you didn't have a nickname to add was it difficult to overlook the post?
