    Jack Dempsey-Jess Willard

It was always fun to watch Mike Tyson beat much taller and bigger opponents. Lou Savarese, Andrew Golota, Frank Bruno, Tyrell Biggs, etc...

Of course, there's Chris Byrd's pressure being too much for Vitali Klitschko to handle. He couldn't stand the heat, as the 9th round was too much for him, so he got out of the kitchen. Byrd, barely above super middleweight when he turned pro, was giving up over half a foot and around 30 lbs.

It's too bad that there's such a limited amount of Charley Burley footage. I would've loved to see his fight with J.D. Turner. A small middleweight beating up a heavyweight with 70 pounds on him.

Although they were the same weight class, it was enjoyable to watch a midget like Dwight Qawi beat tall light-heavyweights, like Jerry Martin.

That's nice, but like reasonable people I actually look at the RESULT of the fight..

Who won the 9th round and then via TKO?

    Who quit on the stool?

    Reality= Byrd TKO 9 Quitali
Undertrained old Lummox TKO 6 Shitali

Quitali fanboys= "Bu, bu, bu, but he was ahead on the cards when he lost!!"

Yeah he beat him, but your description was completely dumb. You go from totally awesome posts like your amateur fighter thread to this, and I have no idea why.

Vitali simply injured his shoulder. Nothing to do with being able to stand the heat. It was a freak occurance and Byrd was lucky to get the W. Good for Byrd, but most unbiased fans know whats what.

Because it's true. Vitali couldn't handle it, the mighty slaps of Byrd were too much to handle and Byrd was taking over, so Vitali quit and had his baby brother beat him.

To clarify this Vitali Byrd thing:

"Complaining of shoulder pain, Vitali and his corner decided to concede after the ninth round. Vitali was ahead on all three judges' scorecards (89-82, and 88-83 twice). The way he ended this match brought criticism from some, however Vitali had torn the rotator cuff in his right shoulder and would be out of the ring for almost 8 months after recovering from surgery"

That's just what they claim. Brittley was stepping up the opposition, so he was taking much more time between fights anyway. He just couldn't handle the purposeful slaps and momentum of Chris Byrdzaghe, who was coming on too strong for him to handle the heat.

    Back to other examples.

Joe Frazier was much smaller than Buster Mathis, and beat him up.

Joe Louis against the Baer brothers.

He basically faked it because he was scared of Byrd knocking him out.
