Being young and from the UK, I have had to endure Adam Smith and Jim Watt, so good commentary is hard to come by.

Dunphy, Sheridan, Cossel, Lampley, Bernstein, Merchent (Not for insight, but just to make a call exciting).

Ya, he's a little too much for me in that regard. He should just relax abit, he's smart enough and talks good enough without putting on an act. That's the thing, it's the guys like Stewert, Jones, Merchant that are just being themselves that come off cool. Boxing fans are not usually into nice fake fronts.

Too bad James Brown went to Showtime, I'd put his ass to work and get rid of Lampley.

    Brown, Merchant, DLH

One of my all time favs is Howard Cosell. Some of his comments in boxing and football are classic.

I still like but miss the old CBS days with Tim Ryan, Gil Clancy and Ray Leonard......... Them shows on the weekends were great in the early to middle 1980s.......

I also thought Barry Tompkins, Larry Merchant and Ray Leonard were good in the 1980s on HBO.......

Howard Cosell and Chris Schenkel were classic for ABC..........

Al Bernstein is great, but he often works with a turkey or two.......
