If memory serves, wasn't Barkley's nice stoppage win over Scypion in the 8th? That was a big shock and really turned the corner for both guys. One guy went on to bigger and better things and the other guy went downhill faster.

Page/Coetzee is another. Great fight and Page ate some big shots in that won but dug deep.

Fenech--Nelson 2. that one really blew out the candles on a juggernaut. But that's the way those juggernauts seem to lose.

Bob Foster/Ali was an 8 rounder too, i think. I always liked foster and can't believe he took a licking that long. I can't believe he continued to defend that lh title.

Sal Sanchez--Gomez is another. What a high profile high stakes fight that was at the time.

Weren't both of those Stewart/Marvin Johnson bouts 8 round wars that Leslie got the ko's?

So many years ago I had forgotten what a special great fighter Sanchez was. So smooth, so confident always setting traps.

Actually, Johnson stopped Stewart in 7 the first fight, then Stewart scored a 9th round win in the rematch. That first one was a great fight, though.

    Edit: Ali-Foreman was already mentioned.

Anyone see Uchiyama-Vasquez this morning? That was an eight round stoppage that was quite a bit of fun while it lasted.
