Favorite Fighters that did not Achieve Greatness

    And would it be fair to include Don Curry, Michael Nunn in that? I know Nunn beat some very good fighters, but based on what he COULD of done, he has to go down as an big underachiever in my book.

    Don Curry was P4P, but did he achieve GREATNESS? I dont know....

    for me, gatti did achieve greatness. it just wasn't through his skill set

    Ah come on man! The Bellflower Bomber! This guy had skills to boot. Check the tape of him and Smokin Joe going at it. As long as Quarry is on his feet he's competeive as a mofo !

    yeah, that was a smoking fight. had it by 1 or 2 points for lewis in a close fight.

    Could of been a hell of a force at the lower weights if he hadnt been robbed by judges.

    i thought lewis won a very close fight. mercer just gave up too much in the last few rounds. it was the best he'd been in a while though.... i can't remember the journeyman mercer lost to in the big scandal. was his name etienne?

    nah, trinidad is an ATG. riddick didn't go on to achieve what most people thought he could, but still a great fighter for a short period of time.
