Chacon is in the Hof and id say many consider him as a great fighter.

Great trip down memory lane guys! I'll add a few that haven't already been discussed and re-cussed.

    In no particular order:

Bronco McKart: Would have been a damn fine world champion if Winky hadn't always been in his way.

Jerry Quarry: Arguably the finest heavyweight who never won a world title.

George Chuvalo: Best Canadian heavyweight of all time, and absolutely fearless.

Jerry Cooney: With better management and promotion he could have been a hell of a lot more that just a "Great White Hope."

Ray Mancini: No such thing as a dull Mancini fight.

Murray Sutherland: Very first 168 pound World Champion. Resume' reads like a who's who of late 70's early 80's middleweights and light heavyweights.

Denny Moyer: On the best night of his life he beat SRR at 160. Very first undisputed 154 pound champ. Fought every top middleweight from Robinson to Monzon.

Grady Brewer: I think he is officially retired now, but for a long time he was my favorite journeyman. Dude collected about half a dozen zeros. I used to think putting your undefeated prospect in with Grady should be against the rules. Under more favorable circumstances I think he would have carried at least one world title.

That's all for now. Thanks for a neat thread.

Pinklon Thomas....always thought he'd replace Holmes, until that dreary night with Trevor Berbick.

I live in Sacramento there's not a lot of fight fans anywhere anymore but those of us that are still around couldn't have more love for Bobby Chacon and Tony "the tiger' Lopez.
