I wouldnt class any of them as journeymen. Cooper was a solid contender and Paez was a respected world champion.

Pendleton started as one but got to the world class level.

They might have turned into journeymen but its unfair define there careers as journeymen.

 

Again even though looking at his record it looks like one of a journeymen but his resume is a great one. He's an ATG.

 

Before his comeback he was seen as a joerneyman, his accomplishments after that includsing his upset over joe louis kind of erased the imagine but for a good part of his carreer he was a journeyman. But if that doesnt count what are the criteria then? Do you consider Braddock a joerneyman?

Not sure if people would consider Lovemore a journeyman fighter as there were stages in his career where he was ranked on the world stage but I'll throw his name out there.

If Lovemore cherry-picked his opponents he'd end up with a nice record and probably hold onto a paper-title for an extended period of time.

Tough as nails , fights anybody anywhere (Just recently went to Mexico to fight Alvarez - and Lovemore is almost 40!), and always shows up in supreme condition ready to put it all on the line.

Has a few early losses against meh-opposition and some losses against the A-classers/top B-classers. He's probably going to continue to box on, so we'll see if he can pull anything amazing out of the hat.

Nice one, but Marion Wilson did way better!!!

He really fought the best hardhitters and KOartist in his time and never lost a fight on Ko or TKO. (Boxrec has one TKO against Iceman Ïsaman but there was no flooring involved.

Some examples from todays punchers he fought: Sam Peter, Tony Thompson, Hasim Rahman, Andrew Golota, Chazz Witherspoon, Shannon Briggs

btw he also has some nice wins for example Peae Wolfgramm 14-0 at the time he beated him, Corey Sanders, Mark Hunter and a draw against Ray Mercer.

I consider him the best in his class (big losing record but fought the best of the best and never knocked down...)

 

what the hell is a journyman cause some of ya'll are naming fighters who were once champions.

 

Are you sure? Boxrec has him down a couple of times.

 

Look better, my friend, Marion Wilson has one loss by KO and as said that wasn't one he was floored, but a stand up. He won some fights on KO maybe you looked at those?

Demarcus Corley!? He is not the same guy that he used to be but he is still fighting against top fighters!

Zack Page is in my opinion the best example when we are searching for a great journeyman..
