Pardon me for what must be a stupidly redundant thread, but I'm looking for new stuff to see, and people are always anxious to talk about this stuff anyway.

List your ten "desert island fights." You are on a desert island that for some reason has a DVD player and a way to use it, and enough room on a few DVD's for just ten fights. What are they?

    For me.........

    Chacon-Limon IV - If I live to be 100, I know I'll never see a better fight.

Saad-Lopez II - Love both these guys.

Sanchez-Nelson - More twists and turns than Chava's fight with Gomez.

Lopez-Ayala - Why the hell did Ayala sit on the ropes like that for so long?

Vasquez-Marquez III - Restored my faith, if only momentarily, in modern boxing.

Mando Ramos-Sugar Ramos - Thanks RB....

Chacon-Boza II - Bobby, next time try to bleed a little more.

Saad-Johnson II - Saad, talk to Bobby.

Gavilan-Turner - Old sage taking the young buck out to sea and drowning him.

Hagler-Hearns - The bubblegum pick here. Hagler was my hero then, and I remember jumping up and down in euphoria at the result heard via the radio. I was ecstatic. Some of that lingers to this day at the memory, so I had to pick it.

In the 90's, I saw so many fights from the fabled Forum on our local Fox Sports channel. They don't show them anymore, do they still have regular cards there?

Unfortunately no more fights at the forum:-:)-( I was a boxing season holder for the monday night fights. Saw countless fights there from the late 80s until around 2000 2001. Seems like the Forum fights died when Buss(co promoter) moved the Lakers to staples.

Damn shame. That place was such a hotbed of talent and great fights. God, this really is a dying sport, isn't it?

Yey regular boxing events are kind of slow in LA. They have fights at the Nokia(havent been inside yet) but there mostly young prospects that GBP signed. At least at the Forum the main events were usually top contenders or World championship fights. Even the Olympic made a comeback in the 90s. Used to also be a lot of quality fights at the Anaheim Pond(also forum promoted) Reseda country club,Hollywood Bowl,Stevens Steakhouse.

Today you have fights at the Carson Home depot and Staples but only occasionly and Arreola is a regular at the Ontario Civic center but other than that not much going on anymore:-(

PS i see you are a from Washington i lived in Bellingham as a kid from 78 to 83. Your from Greg Haugens hometown?

Yup; graduated a year ahead of his sister. All things considered, if it were a fight for my life, I'd rather fight him.

 I met Greg out here before real cocky but very likeable. So i see he must come from a tough family! Ever been to Bellingham?

Speaking of forum fights in the 90s have you seen Banke-Zarragoza I,or Hector Lopez vs Fuentes and Bollillo Gonzalez? Among the others i mentioned above?

Wish i would have been around for some of the classics in the 60s,70s at the forum and Olympic. My dad and uncles went to alot of those classics. From the stories some these would be on the list.
