There have been the storied tomes of Primo Carnera, Marciano and his exploits, Suagr Ray Leonard and his true worth, threads about the best way to erect a statue to Roberto Duran, all that stuff.

What are the types of threads you enjoy most here in Classic? Which ones do you gravitate to?

I tend to like open-ended things where the threads can take on any number of tangents, like entitling a thread "Michael Spinks" and just letting people write anything and everything. Some really interesting stuff can come out of those, assuming the thread gains some legs.

Love seeing other people’s lists. Currently top five win list for every champion is a great thread. Also like seeing threads about books about fighters. Which ones are worth a read etc

Classic really loves Marciano vs Dempsey.

Just saying those names together could start a dumpster fire.

And has, on numerous occasions. I'm still waiting for Dempsey vs. Duran.

I'm considering doing a thread arguing George Millsom may have been equal to or better than Jack Slack. Would that interest you?

I like threads offering factoids about less discussed fighters.

A thread that provides an interesting break down of a fighter's style, hidden boxing history being brought to light, cool bouts that have been lost due to a lack of uploaded footage being discovered, comparing legacies, or interesting matchups that haven't been done a million times.

Insightful analysis and dissection of the styles and subtleties of a fighter or fighters that don't get discussed all that often, like a Joey Giardello, a Fritzie Zivic, or a Georgie Benton, i.e., an in depth breakdown of the styles of some of the more skillful, subtle masters of this sport...other than the names that are worshipped and drooled over in this forum ad finitum....
