well, as far as skills go, i'd say there about on the same level...i'd give the edge to speed to Lamont (though not by much), but Vics power is pretty much unreal, i'd go as far as saying he has P4P power so it would go down to 2 things, when Lamont gets hit, can he stay on his feet?, he has a solid defense but.....he's gonna get hit sooner or later, he hasn't really faced any solid punchers, so i cant say how good his chin is and as far as Vic goes, i dont know how he'd handle someone thats as a fluid of a boxer-puncher as Lamont is, that picks his shots as well as he does, plus he can really bang to the body as well which would show late into the fight so both fighters would be tested either way, it would be there best win for either or, but i'd have to put my money on Vic, i dont think Lamont has that kind of chin that can take those bombs Vic can dish out, but who knows? maybe he does.....it would definetly be a great prospect vs. prospect fight
Thanks! As I say I havent seen much of either Peterson so cant comment there... but I'm excited by Ortiz. He can bang and he's not scared to pile on the pressure while still being fairly calculated. Say it quietly but his style reminds me a little of Duran. A kind of controlled aggression, wearing his opponents down but all the time carrying that KO power. His ring savvy and defence is no where near Roberto, but whose is!? Cant wait to see Ortiz make some waves in the division. He doesnt look big enough though to go up to WW so my guess is he'll try to clean out 140
